Apollonia Sozopol
Located in Sozopol
Sozopol, perched on its promontory high above the Black Sea, is one of the most historic places on the Bulgaria Black Sea coast. As long ago as then seventh century BG, Greek colonisers settled there and called the town Apollonia after the Greek god Apollo, the protector of sailors.
Sozopol is no artificial resort although it has grown to accommodate its summer visitors so there is a choice of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. It is a real town with immense charm and character set high on its promontory with fabulous sea views from its cliff walk. When the summer visitors leave, the seven thousand local inhabitants, many of whose families have lived and worked here for centuries, continue their quiet lived. The town has two beaches, the Tsar’s Beach to the north of the fishing port and Harmani Beach to the south. Apollonia Apartments is situated within five minutes walk of the Harmani Beach.
